In short, Home Health is quite different from Home Care. Home Health involves certified nursing assistants (CNAs) coming to your home to help you with achieving activities of daily living (ADLs) such as taking care of personal hygiene or light cleaning. On the other hand, Home Health is normally prescribed by a medical professional and lasts for shorter amounts of time (2-4 weeks). While Home Care is privately paid for, Home Health is often covered by Medicare and Medicaid, amongst other insurance types.

In order to bill the insurance carrier, the policyholder or Power of Attorney must assign payment benefits to Trinity Life at Home and it must be approved by the insurance carrier. If the bill exceeds policy coverage, the client or Power of Attorney is responsible for the difference.

We are happy to help you by billing your long-term care insurance company directly. Of course, if the bill goes over what your insurance policy covers, the client or the Power of Attorney (POA) will need to pay the difference.

We do not force our clients or their family caregivers into a long-term contract. We do have a client service agreement, but that can be ended at any time you feel as though our services are no longer needed.
